OnePlus 6/6T Android 10 Update: OnePlus has started rolling out the stable Android 10 update for OnePlus 6 and 6T

OnePlus had revealed the schedule for the Android 10 updates for OnePlus 6/6T and 5/5T, 6/6T to get it in November 2019 and 5/5T in Q2 2020 and as stated the stable Android 10 update for OnePlus 6/6T has started rolling out.

Here are the few highlights of the features available in the Oxygen OS 10.0 update,

Android 10 and its features

OnePlus 6/6T users will be getting the Oxygen OS 10.0 update which will consists of Android 10 and its features like the dark mode and full screen navigation gestures. OnePlus have added a new section for all the customization.This option will be available in the Settings menu.

The Update also consists of enhanced location permissions for privacy which will give the users better control to select which apps gets the location access.

Full Screen Navigation Gestures

The update bring the full screen navigation gestures of the Android 10 update, which allows swipes from left or right edges of the screen to go back. Also it has a bottom back to navigate between the recent apps.

Game Space

All new section for all the installed games in one place and allows better managing of the games.

  • Now possible to block spam by keywords for Message (Messages – Spam – Settings – Blocking settings)

As usual the update is a staged roll-out and OnePlus suggests that connecting to VPN will not have a better chance of getting the update earlier.

Note: The update for OnePlus 6 had been paused earlier due to a fingerprint bug but it will now resume and users will start getting the update gradually.

UPDATE: 23/11

Oxygen OS 10 (Android 10) update will be re-start soon (probably by next week) for OnePlus 6/6T with a new build provided it passed the CTS test. This was announced in the Weekly Update on the OnePlus Community website.

For OnePlus 6/6T users, your patience is much appreciated. There’s a build waiting for CTS approval, and hopefully you can start receiving the update from next week on (if CTS is passed).
