OnePlus TV will be launched on 26th Sept 2019 in India and we bring you everything so far regarding the Smart TV.
OnePlus TV started as a part of OnePlus’ Intelligent Connectivity almost year ago when Pete Lau post it on the OnePlus forums. Now after a year, OnePlus is ready to launch its first Smart TV on 26th Sept 2019 in India.
Pete Lau has been consistently revealing and hyping up the OnePlus TV and its features.
Design and Display
OnePlus has already confirmed that OnePlus TV will have 55 inch QLED Panel with 4K HDR capability. It will support the Dolby Vision, which is said to give better colour, contrast and brightness.
OnePlus TV will have 8 speakers capable of producing 50 watts of power output and will be powered by Dolby Atmos.
According leaked specs, it is said to have 3 HDMI port, 2 USB Ports,2.5 GB RAM, 16GB Storage.
OnePlus TV Remote
OnePlus have already showed off their remote for the OnePlus TV which looks pretty much like the Apple remote. The remote has a track pad like arrangement probably for the navigating within the TV menu. It also have a Google Assistant Button and button with OnePlus logo which could for something related to the OS. At the bottom it has a USB Type C port as well. Pete Lau said that the design was based on OnePlus 3’s design.
Software
OnePlus TV will be based on Android TV but OnePlus might customised this and have a Oxygen OS TV as per the leaks. OnePlus will be offering lot of functions to be managed through the phone, like navigating through apps or easy typing while search something on the TV.
There will also a feature where the TV’s volume will get automatically reduced when a phone call is received on the paired phone.
Price and Availability
The Official price is yet to confirmed and probably will come out only on the launch. According to many leaks, it is said to be starting from Rs 60,000. The OnePlus TV will be initially launched in India on 26th September 2019 and will be available on Amazon India. There a already an Notify Me on Amazon India, which also details the feature that have been revealed till now. For availability and price for the other locations like US or Europe, we will probably get to know only during the launch or after it. We will keep you posted on it as soon as it is announced.
